Focus and Scope

Focus: EDUKASI is a scholarly journal dedicated to the study and research of Religion and Religious Education. It is committed to enriching and expanding the body of scientific knowledge relevant for policy-making and the advancement of theoretical and conceptual frameworks. The journal aims to provide valuable literature, data, and information to governmental bodies, education practitioners, and academics to support decision-making and further studies.

Scope: As a journal focusing on problem-solving and the development of religious education praxis, EDUKASI welcomes studies, research, and manuscripts that explore (but are not limited to) the following areas:

  1. Religious Education Institutions: This includes, but is not limited to, Raudhatul Athfal (kindergarten), Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, Tsanawiyah, Aliyah, pesantren, Sunday schools, pamaja samnera, and religious colleges (IAIN, UIN, STAI, STAK, STAB).

  2. Religious Education Practitioners: EDUKASI considers studies on the qualifications, competence, and quality of teaching of religious education teachers, including Kyai, Ustadz, and Ustadzah, whether in formal or non-formal educational settings.

  3. Management, Governance, and Financing of Religious Education: This includes studies on the organizational structure, governance models, and financial aspects of religious education institutions.

  4. Evaluation and Quality Assurance: EDUKASI welcomes research on the evaluation methodologies and quality assurance mechanisms in religious education.

  5. Students in Religious Education: Studies on students or pupils in religious education institutions, as well as those attending general and public schools, are within the scope of the journal.

The journal welcomes interdisciplinary studies, incorporating various fields such as psychology, sociology, management, philosophy, theology, anthropology, and politics to enrich the discourse and understanding religion and religious education.
